Mike Ratliff
For over 25 years Mike has served
as an ordained minister in the North Alabama Conference. After graduating from
Shades Valley High School in 1972, Mike received his undergraduate degree in
Music Education from the University of Montevallo, and received his Master of
Divinity from Candler School of Theology, Emory University. He was later
ordained as a deacon in 1985 and as an elder in 1988.
Mike is on the Board of
Superannuate Homes for the North Alabama Conference, Chairperson of the
District Board of Church Location and Building for the Mountain Lakes District,
as well as and active participant in the UMVIM and SIFAT (Servants in Faith and
Technology) through working with local and international areas that have been
devastated by natural disaster. Mike assisted in the formulation of VOAD
(Voluntary Organization Assisting in Disasters) through the EMA (Emergency Management
Agency) of Marshall County.
Mike enjoys helping others
through different type’s ministerial opportunities; missions, music and SCUBA
Diving. SCUBA diving is Mike’s passion
as he helps people become more aware of the importance of our marine
environment. This ministry has enabled Mike to build many relationships as together
we celebrate the gift of God’s creation.
Mike and his wife Brenda (Bee)
have been married for 33 years and have 2 children, James Michael and Anna
Kristine.
